TUITION PAYMENT PLANS

ANNUAL TUITION PAYMENT PLAN:
All annual fees and tuition, less the re-enrollment deposit, are billed in June and are due during July.  The Tuition Refund Plan is optional for returning students using this payment plan.

DEFERRED TUITION PAYMENT PLANS:
The following plans allow families to defer portions of the annual tuition beyond the beginning of the school year.  All deferred tuition payment plans require parents to make all required tuition payments through the FACTS Management Company (FACTS). This is an automatic payment plan made through your checking or savings account. Parents choosing to use one of the Deferred Tuition Payment Plans will complete a FACTS agreement to authorize the required payments for either the 5th or the 20th of the month. The FACTS program is strictly controlled by state and federal laws, is completely confidential and does not provide the school any access to your bank information.

A statement showing all charges for the year will be sent in June 2008. The total balance due will be reported to FACTS. Parents must make arrangements with FACTS for the required semi-annual or monthly payments.

Billing Fee:
Semi-Annual Payment Plan:            $25.00
Monthly Tuition Payment Plan         $50.00

PARENT OBLIGATION:
It is each parent’s unconditional obligation to pay the tuition and fees for the full academic year.  Refer to the Tuition Agreement for more information.

SIBLING DISCOUNT:
Highland Hall does not have a sibling discount.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS:
Parents can make arrangements with the Business Office to use credit cards for payment of tuition and most fees

TUITION REFUND PLAN
(Required for all New Families and families using Deferred Tuition Payment Plan)

PURPOSE:  TO FINANCIALLY PROTECT HIGHLAND HALL FAMILIES AND HIGHLAND HALL
As stated in Highland Hall’s Enrollment Agreement, a family is obligated for the full annual tuition.  The Tuition Refund Plan would help to meet this financial obligation if a student must leave the school.

BENEFIT:  WILL PAY OR REFUND A PERCENTAGE OF UNUSED YEARLY TUITION
For any student withdrawal or absence beyond 30 days that is due to a medical problem, the Plan pays all of the tuition due for that period.  If the student leaves for any other reason, the Plan pays one half of the tuition due for the period after their last day.  The student must have attended school for ten consecutive days in order to receive the benefit.

COST:  EQUAL TO 2.4% OF TUITION (See above specific amounts)
The Tuition Refund Plan is required for all monthly and semi-annual payment plans AND all new students.  Participation is optional for families using the annual payment plan.

TO SUBMIT A CLAIM:  NOTIFY SCHOOL BUSINESS OFFICE OF DEPARTURE
The family must notify the school business office in writing, listing the last day the student attended and the reason for leaving.  The business office will then evaluate the amount of unused tuition to be paid by the Plan and the family’s remaining financial obligation.  The business office will send a final statement to the family after receiving notification.
