Highland Hall Waldorf School

Summer Camp
One-Week Sessions Begin June 30th

Children are invited to join in fun, inspiring, age-appropriate Waldorf-themed activities led by experienced teachers and camp counselors. Our programs engage children’s imaginations and sense of wonder with a variety of meaningful and enriching activities, creating a summer filled with lasting memories with new and old friends. We are pleased to offer three camps for the following age groups:

The gentle rhythm of the day includes water-play, baking, cooking, storytelling, art, handcrafts, and plenty of time for exploration and creative play. Inside activities will be hosted in our kindergarten classrooms, filled with beautiful handmade, natural toys. When outside, children will enjoy our enchanted garden with play equipment, shaded sandbox play area, swings...and lots of blooming flowers.

Adventure Camp    for incoming 8th to incoming 9th graders.

Week 1 - Backpacking in the Sierras!

Explore the wilderness while you cool off in lakes and walk through meadows with friends. A great introduction to backpacking! Experienced class teachers will help campers with the basics of backpacking, from preparation and equipment to cooking, hiking, and back country safety. Backpacking experience is not necessary; campers will walk 6-8 miles per day, allowing plenty of time for exploration, rest, and hanging out together.

Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and appropriate shoes for hiking need to be supplied by each camper.
If needed, backpacks, tents, and stoves will be provided by summer day camp.

• Camp Dates: July 28-31, 2014
• Days & Hours: Depart early Monday, return Thursday evening
• Cost: $395

Week 2 - Urban Adventures!

Bring your sense of adventure for exciting day-trips which will include activities like kayaking, rock climbing, horseback riding, or a high ropes course as well as learning about some of our native history. Sign up early...we have limited space and this camp sold out last year!

• Camp Dates: August 4 - 8, 2014
• Days & Hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm
