Mr. Lavner, Pedagogical Administrator

Prior to his role as Pedagogical Administrator, coordinator for the school, Mr. Lavner served as class teacher at Highland Hall for sixteen years, having taken two classes from 1st through 8th grade.  While he obtained his Waldorf Training Certificate from the Waldorf Institute of Southern California, he also earned his Masters Degree in Music from Florida State University.  Lavner holds a California Multi-Subject Teaching Credential and has been an NEH Landmark Grant recipient (American History) three times.  Mr. Lavner was fortunate to have the opportunity to mentor on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, as well as locally.  He has written a number of original plays, with music, for his classes and has authored a book, 40 Songs to Start Your Day.
