Highland Hall offers a Variety of Waldorf Camps for Summer 2024

Enrollment is by the week.  Spaces are limited.

Preschool & Kindergarten Summer Camp

Fun abounds as children engage in a variety of Waldorf-inspired activities in a beautiful, nurturing and safe environment. The gentle rhythm of the day includes outdoor exploration, crafts, storytelling, painting, and plenty of time for free play.  Led by Maria Haddad, a certified Waldorf teacher and currently one of our Kindergarten Lead Teachers.

Our program setting in our Early Childhood Center (ECC) provides appealing outside play equipment, water play for hot days, and a lush, shaded yard encompassing a fun-filled mud kitchen. Our 11-acre campus is the perfect place for kids to explore and play!
 
This Camp is open to children ages 3.5 to 6 (preschool to rising 1st grade.)
 
DATES: June 17 through August 16, except the week of July 1-5.
TIME:  Drop-off: 8:30 to 8:45 am; Pick-up: 2:30 to 2:45 pm

COST: $440 per week

 

Farm, Art & Games Camp

Summer days on our 11-acre campus are filled with plenty of outdoors activities, gardening, watercolor painting, crafts, cooking, and water play, in a relaxed and natural environment, led by Waldorf-trained teacher & experienced camp counselor, Thea Bieling.  She will be including cooperative movement and story-based games.  Farm, Gardening & Cooking activities will be led by Kate Lottman-Altshuller, our Gardening Teacher.  Art & Craft activities will be led by TJ Lewis, our Woodworking Teacher.
 

Middle School Sports Camp

Our Sports camp will offer a variety of conventional sports such as soccer & basketball, and also other sports such as wiffle ball, foot hockey (with no skates or roller blades) and archery.  Various Field Games will also be offered such as "Capture the Flag," "Omega Ball," and "Croquet." Our Sports Camp Counselor, Alex Ramirez, has been teaching sports & games here at Highland Hall for four years.
 
DATES: June 17 through August 2, not including the week of July 1-5.
TIME:   Drop-off: 8:30 to 8:45 am; Pick-up: 2:30 to 2:45 pm

COST: $440 per week

 
Note: Children must be finishing Grade 1 in order to enroll.  If your child is entering Grade 1 in the Fall, then our Early Childhood Summer Camp (details above) is for them. Students in Middle School may also choose to enroll in the Farm, Art & Games Camp for any of the weeks offered.
Highland Hall High School students may apply to support our Summer Camp program with a summer internship focused on an area of interest. Counselors in Training must be at least 14 years old, enrolled in High School at Highland Hall in the 2024-2025 school year, and commit to 2 weeks of serving in this role.  Please complete the application to be considered.
