DeMonte-Finn Brothers Take on The Appalachian Trail

Gabriel DeMonte-Finn currently attends College of the Canyons and is studying design. He has constructed beautiful raised garden beds for various homes (including the bio-dynamic garden at Highland Hall), built and designed his family’s chicken coop, enjoys fine art photography, carpentry, tile work, and fence design and construction.  Since completing the Appalachian Trail in 2010, Gabriel also took a 10,000+ mile cross-country motorcycle trip with Highland Hall alumus Scott Gilmore.

Jacob DeMonte-Finn is an actor, writer, producer and i-phone app developer. As a writer and producer he has worked on films that have appeared in the Berlin, Cannes and Rhode Island film festivals. He has also acted in various short and feature films as well as national commercials such as Yoplait, Toyota and Verizon. Jacob is currently acting in “The Perfect Wedding,” playing at The Complex (Oct. 18 – Nov. 3) and is also doing improv at the UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade.)

As an app developer, Jacob worked with Highland Hall alum Cameron Ehrlich (’10) to develop an i-phone app called "Stitch it!" He also worked as a consultant with former Highland Hall math teacher Walter Duncan on another app called “Quick Key.”

Jacob volunteered in Panama in the Leadership Summit, and in Honduras with Global Medical Brigades. His current goals are to land a TV pilot, produce or act in a major motion picture and continue to develop his acting career with bigger profile roles.
