Through her website, blog, youtube channel and other media outlets, designer/stylist Kate Albrecht offers fashion, interior design, cooking and other lifestyle ideas that are typically "D.I.Y." Her blog (www.MrKate.com) has attracted a following of millions of young people including a number of celebrity admirers. Kate can be regularly seen dishing up friendly DIY advice on TV shows such as "Home and Family," "The Nate Berkus Show," and KTLA's Morning News and on Zooey Deschanel's "Hello Giggles." The Mr. Kate brand is popular because her ideas are cutting edge, stylish and, best of all, accessible to people on a tight budget. Kate is currently writing a book for Harper Row Publishers as part of a series.
Before launching her lifestyle brand, Kate attended Highland Hall for 14 years and then studied at Loyola Marymount University where she majored in film production and minored in theater. After college Kate pursued a career as an actress and landed roles on TV programs such as "Entourage" and films such as "My Best Friend's Girl." Albrecht also studied jewelry-making under contemporary art jeweler Sue Dorman. It was there that she found her passion in jewelry making and design and decided to pursue it full time.
Kate recently married her longtime partner and business manager Joey Zehr and the couple just purchased their first home in Los Angeles.
