Social Emotional Learning/Nurturing Resilience in our Children
Saturday, March 2nd, from 10am-12pm.
About the workshop:
-We will discuss the developmental stages of childhood through the lens of Waldorf education with longtime teacher and Pedagogical Chair, Ken Lavner.
-We will explore the SEL competencies we teach (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making) and how you can nurture these capacities at home.
-We will focus on mindfulness activities, communication skills, and restorative practices.
Taught by the Waldorf-trained teachers and SEL counselors, Mimi Devens, LCSW, and Thea Bieling.
