On November 7, 2012, Cynthia Fox of 95.5 KLOS radio, interviewed Highland Hall parents Kristen and Stephen Stills. On a radio podcast and short video, they describe why they chose Waldorf education for their son, and why they feel integrating arts and music into the academic curriculum is important.

I am Cynthia Fox and we are here in Calabasas to be and we're honored to be joined by the legendary Steven Phil is here with his wife turn in the road here to speak to the importance of music education but also they want to speak with High Praise of a wonderful School Highland Hall in Matteson Northridge it's a Waldorf School and you both have found that this is a much healthier approach to education because if we use is Art and music education throughout so you find that this is a much better approach for all kids next time it's about educating the whole child somehow to Century for you and your family the Waldorf approach I think that you know we didn't know much about it until we were in it and we have learned as we've gone on with a second grader you know mentioning is about enlivening the senses engaging and enlivening the all of the fences and how that creates the neural hippo foundation for Higher Learning for years and years to come so if you don't have that in what's going on in education today as we don't have art in musically some kids are missing that piece and it's a critical part of development that's being being lost because he mentioned earlier the scientific research done by neurologist Daniel Levitin and his music work show you're saying is the only what you feel as a parent the music education is important you did you feel it inside but
