Highland Hall May Faire

Throughout history and in all civilizations, there are rituals reflecting nature’s rhythms, important transitions, and significant moments in the cycle of the year. Nowadays, festivals offer a beautiful way of living into the cycle of the year;  we can feel enlivened and strengthened by participating in seasonal rituals.  When we reverently enter into active participation with the cycle of the year, one can feel nourished through a deepened community bond, as well.

Our Annual May Faire is usually on the first Saturday of May and we welcome the community to watch the children participate in May Pole Dances, as well as other traditional folk dances from around the world.

May Pole dances may have originated in Medieval Europe, but they can also be traced back to North Africa and India.
